Antique 9ct Gold Peridot, Amethyst & Pearl Pendant Necklace
A beautiful Edwardian pendant, made at the turn of the 20th century from 9ct yellow gold. The pendant has been made in a naturalistic style and has been set with the typical gems of choice of the suffragette movement: green (peridot), purple (amethyst) and white (pearl). Is this a genuine suffragette piece? As it has no hallmark to allow us to date it, it's impossible to say. Suffragette jewellery was made only between 1908-1914, you can read more in our blog here.
We are offering this beautiful pendant for sale with a new 9ct yellow gold trace chain, available in 18-22 lengths. The chain is good quality, solid gold and fine at 1.2mm wide. It pairs beautifully with the pendant and is small enough to fit through the bale at the top. You are also welcome, of course, to purchase the pendant on its own to hang from your own chain. Note the necklace is presented in a recycled kraft jewellery box - the case shown in the photos is one of our props.
