Tell me more...
A really high quality Victorian five stone ring, set with three diamonds and two deep blue sapphires. These are old mine cut diamonds, not quite round enough to be old European cuts in our opinion. Don't let the clarity grade put you off - these grades are designed for modern stones and most old cut stones are poor by comparison, yet to the eye (and not the loupe) these stones look bright, beautiful and fantastic.
Condition wise the ring is in very good condition considering its age. No chips or damage to the diamonds, but there are a few chips and abrasions to the sapphires as you would expect. All claws are intact and the stones are firmly in place. The band is still thick and heavy.
A beautifully decorative ring made by a talented goldsmith of the time. This antique diamond and sapphire ring is supplied in our recycled kraft ring box with our tailored gemstone care card. UK delivery is fast and free via Royal Mail.
