Antique 18ct Gold Almandine Garnet Solitaire Ring
A beautiful turn of the century solitaire ring featuring a round almandine garnet solitaire, claw set in a solid 18ct gold band. This lovely old ring has full hallmarks plus maker's mark 'AM'. The garnet is a lovely pinky colour with slight hints of peach. The facet edges have been abraded over the 120 years use, but you can only see this with a loupe. Almandine garnet is a lustrous stone so this shines really brightly under the light. The claws are in good condition and the stone is securely set. A really pretty ring and a lovely piece of history!
