An antique ring, early Victorian but possibly even older and Georgian in age. This style of ring is called a locket ring, and you will notice that on the underside of the setting there is space for a keepsake, such as a lock of hair. This space would have originally had a glass cover though this is no longer with the ring.

The rose shaped ring is centred by an orangey-red garnet which is original to the ring. The pearls in this ring are fabulous, though whether they are original we cannot say for certain - it's unlikely given their beautiful condition. The stylised band is in good condition, with a few small splits visible with the loupe. The overall integrity of the ring is good. The gold content has been tested up to 18ct but is unmarked.

This is a stunning ring, steeped in history and beautiful on the finger. A lovely antique ring to treasure. Supplied with our recycled kraft ring box and a tailored gemstone care card. Fast and free UK delivery via Royal Mail.
