Antique 18ct Gold Old Cut Diamond Toi Et Moi Ring
A beautiful ring from the turn of the 20th century. The ring has been made from 18ct yellow gold, and is tipped with white gold on the top half. The ring is designed in an overlapping bypass style, and in it sit two old cut diamonds. The diamonds are small, but they are bright and beautiful. Bypass bands are said to signify the overlapping of two souls, while the two diamonds represent you and me, or 'toi et moi'. It's a very romantic ring that would have been presented as a love token to its original owner.
The ring is in very good condition for its age. It's undergone a recent polish (not done by us) but it will soon acquire that aged look again after a little wear. The shank is thick and full - this ring hasn't had a huge amount of wear, perhaps sitting in a ring box for many years.
