This fabulous Art Deco era ring features a central old European cut diamond of an estimated 0.45cts, surrounded by a halo of calibre cut rubies, and 6 small rose cut diamond accents to the shoulders. All these wonderful old gems are encased in platinum, and in fact the entire piece is made from this most sturdy of white metals.
Old European cut diamonds are round when viewed from above, but they feature a higher crown and smaller table through which you can often see the culet (the bottom 'tip'). They are sought after stones from a period that pre-dates modern diamond manufacturing methods.
This piece would make such a fabulous Art Deco engagement ring - it's a true investment to treasure and pass on down through the generations. Supplied with the beautiful antique ring box shown in the photos.
