Tell me more...

A very beautiful ring from the 1920s-1930s. With a band made from 18ct gold, and a shield shaped setting tipped with platinum. The centre of the ring has been set with a dark red oval ruby of approx 0.7cts, surrounded by 6 small old European cut diamonds. The diamonds are millegrain set in the platinum, while the ruby is bezel set in yellow gold.

This is a striking and very attractive ring, very much of its time. We would assume that, like most rubies for centuries past, this stone has been heated to improve its colour. The diamonds have not been treated and all stones in this ring are Earth mined.

The Art Deco ring is in good condition, a few small chips to the ruby facets (only visible with a loupe), all stones are securely set and the band is not overly worn. This was definitely a special little ring when it was made, and it remains a special ring today.

The vintage ruby and diamond ring is supplied in our recycled kraft ring box (not the box shown in the photos which is one of our props) along with our tailored gemstone care card. UK delivery is fast and free via Royal Mail.
