This is a Gatsby era ring, beautifully made from solid 18ct yellow gold. In the crossover band sit 3 transitional cut diamonds of an estimated 0.40cts, bezel set in platinum. Transitional cut stones were experimental cuts, better at handling the light than the older cuts that came before them, but not as sparkly or scintillating as modern brilliant cut diamonds. The centre stone is bright and lively, while the outer stones show some dark areas from certain angles, where the light being lost out of the back of the stone.

Despite the less than perfect diamond cuts, this is an incredibly beautiful ring that really draws the eye. Three stone or 'trilogy' rings typically represent the past, the present and the future, where as crossover or 'bypass' bands tend to represent the union of two souls. This is a wonderfully romantic piece of jewellery and the ideal gift on an anniversary or significant date, or even an antique three stone engagement ring. A ring to treasure and pass on down through the generations. Please note - the ring is supplied in our recycled kraft ring box, the case shown in the pictures is one of our props.
