Art Nouveau 18ct Yellow Gold Three Diamond Bypass Ring
A very beautiful and delicate Art Nouveau ring made from 18ct gold. The ring features three old European cut diamonds of I2-I3 clarity, set between bypass bands that have been further studded with rose cut diamonds. In total, we would conservatively estimate that there around 0.38cts of diamonds on this ring. Looking at the band and construction, this ring is likely European in origin - not French, possibly German. It's been made towards the end of the Victorian era and is a very beautiful and sparkling ring indeed. The band is unmarked but has been acid tested up to 18ct gold.
Three stone rings tend to represent the past, the present and the future, making this a highly symbolic piece of jewellery. The overlapping 'bypass' band adds further symbolism, as it represents the intertwining of two souls.
