Edwardian 18ct Gold Old Cut Diamond Trilogy Ring
A truly beautiful antique trilogy ring, approximately Edwardian in age and set with three bright, white, old European cut diamonds of a total weight of 0.75cts. Two of the diamonds are VS clarity stones, while the third outer diamond has an inclusion in the pavilion which reflects around lowering its clarity grade. Despite this it's still a lovely colour with plenty of shine and sparkle, and you'd need a loupe to spot this.
The ring has been fashioned slightly differently to a traditional trilogy - the setting is on a diagonal rather than straight across the finger. In addition, the diamonds sit between decorative scrolled shoulders - an unusual look and very pretty. The ring has been fashioned from solid 18ct yellow gold and is in great condition for its age. The diamonds are free from any chips and the finesse mark plus maker's mark are still visible on the inside of the shank.
A lovely antique ring that would make a lovely gift on a special occasion, equally a perfect antique engagement ring. Trilogy rings represent the past, the present and the future, and are considered romantic pieces of jewellery.
