Vintage 18ct Gold Four Garnet Crystal Ring
A most unusual vintage ring, hard to date but there is definitely a good age to it. The ring has been made from 18ct yellow gold, and in it sit four garnet crystals in a closed back setting. We have looked at them carefully, and we think they are in their original crystal form with some small faces lightly polished on the tops.
We love it. Unusual, unique, and the perfect ring for the garnet lover, be that because of a January birthday or just because it's a fascinating and beautiful gemstone. The stones are quite dark until held to the light, when a vibrant red becomes visible in all its glory. They are quite abraded long the crystal faces edges - as you'd expect - but this isn't really something you would pay attention to without a jeweller's loupe. The band is a little worn at the bottom, but still has many many years left.
