A striking 9ct yellow gold signet ring, fashioned with a cushion cut almandine garnet with an entirely flat face. This chunky ring is a unisex item, and works equally well for both men and women. The ring face is approx 1.2cm long by 1.1cm wide and the ring weighs a substantial 7.8 grams. It has clear hallmarks for Sheffield 1979, and also an inscription RNI on the inner band. For the gemmology geeks among you, the stone's refractive index is 1.762 and the stone exhibits quite clear anomalous extinction on the polariscope.
