Vintage 9ct Yellow Gold Green Synthetic Spinel Dress Ring
It's hard to put into words - and pictures too - just how striking this vintage ring is. Made from solid 9ct gold in an organic style that was very popular in the 1970s, the ring features a good-sized, blue-green synthetic spinel that's been created to imitate tourmaline. This is a real spinel stone, it's not glass or cubic zirconia. The difference between this and a natural spinel is that the stone in this ring was grown in a laboratory using a process call flame fusion, which mimics the temperatures under the earth's surface. This is a great ring for the lady who likes statement pieces of jewellery. It's not overly large, but it does stand out and is a definite conversation piece. Whoever buy her will be thrilled and she comes supplied in our recycled kraft ring box.
