Vintage Platinum & 14ct Gold Old Cut Diamond Flower Ring

£1,395.00
SKU: KCJ172

This is a fabulous ring fashioned as diamond daisy cluster; the ring is about 20-30 years old. The fact that it houses old cut diamonds is slightly confusing in that regard, though looking at them they are definitely 'modern' old cuts. So this is a reproduction Edwardian piece of jewellery. We've sent this ring off to the Assay Office in London for testing and hallmarking, and the shank is confirmed as 900 platinum and the setting, in which the diamonds sit, as 14ct white gold. Consequently, this piece has been hallmarked as 14ct gold, but we will supply paperwork with the ring to confirm its shank metal content.

The diamonds in this ring are lovely - they are a fabulous colour, and look even brighter thanks to the complimentary white metal that surrounds them. Clarity is high, though a few diamonds do show some inclusions bringing the grade range down. The main diamonds are old European cuts, while the diamonds on the shoulders are double cuts. Overall this is a dazzling ring that's been well made in a popular antique style. It looks amazing on the hand and it's hard to stop looking at it!
