Vintage 18ct Gold Sapphire Solitaire Evil Eye Ring, Antique Engagement – Kit Clayton Jewellery

Vintage 18ct Gold Sapphire Solitaire Evil Eye Ring

This is a lovely, dainty vintage ring made from 18ct yellow gold in an evil eye design. The somewhat uniquely shaped setting and band, which has thinned at the bottom from wear, has been set with a beautifully deep blue synthetic sapphire of about 0.4cts. A super ring for the lady who likes to stack her rings, or mix and match pieces. It would also make an unusual engagement ring. The evil eye amulet is believed to protect us from the envy of others, who seek to undo our good fortune with a glare or 'curse'. It's an amulet that been worn, carried or kept in the house since the dawn of civilisation and while seemingly pagan, can be found within religious texts across all cultures. The ring is supplied in our recycled kraft ring box.
